Israeli firm Gadot has set up a joint venture with Jiangsu Nuobei Biochemical to build a new $30M citric acid plant in China.
The plant, in Chenjiagang Chemical Industry Park in Jiangsu Province, will double Gadot's citric acid capacity to 60,000t and will use potato, cassava or corn as its raw material instead of white sugar. The plant will produce anhydrous citric acids, citric acids monohydrate and tri-sodium citrate.
