Bakbel opens new plant

The business, a joint venture between Bakels Group and fruit-based products expert Didier Ladriere, currently manufactures 100t of fruit products per week, but has the ability to signficantly ramp up production as demand grows, said Bakels Group chairman Armin Ulrich. "We expect sales to double within five years."

The facility comprises nine rooms including a packing room, deep freeze cold store, research lab and chilled storage post production area, which allows finished products to stabilise.
