Tate & Lyle bids to Enrich its product list
Tate & Lyle has developed new ingredients to help customers create products under three health platforms.
These are: digestive health and immunity, obesity and weight management and children's health.
The firms's Enrich service enables manufacturers to create products packed with nutrients, from probiotics to fibres and vitamins, in record time, said Mike Augustine, global vice- president, food ingredient applications and technical service.
"To develop Enrich, our in-house nutritionists advised which ingredients best addressed each of the three health platforms," he said.
The digestive health and immunity range of ingredients includes prebiotic fibres, probiotics, vitamins and minerals.
The obesity and weight management range includes fibres, proteins and vitamins aimed at enhancing feelings of satiety.
The children's health range includes fibres, proteins and nutrients, such as choline, calcium and selected vitamins. The first solution sets include new ingredients systems for multi-fruit drinks to boost digestive health and flavoured waters to aid weight management.
