Premixes firm Fortitech will open new plants in California later this year and in Malaysia next year in order to meet growing demand for fortified foods and supplements.
Martin Austin, the firm's new European md, said he was confident Fortitech could continue its run of double-digit growth in the next three years as demand for fortified beverages, infant formula, dairy products and supplements continued to grow.
Austin, who previously headed the UK division of flavours giant Firmenich, said: "What attracted me to the business was the combination of manufacturing and technology. We've got a very aggressive three-year business plan."
